Here's a closer shot of an item in the witch's market. Look closely and
you'll see a dried llama fetus (with yarn wrapped around the neck). Many
Bolivians offer these to the gods in the hope for good luck.
Just outside La Paz there are nice places for dayhikes. I'd recommend Valle
de las Animas. Its name comes from the shape of the stone pillars, some look
like wolves howling at the moon.
Marynela and I had a terrific time exploring these rock formations.
Many of these women had never seen snow. One young woman had made and proudly
showed her snowdoll.
